Abstract

1368675 Ship propeller KANONERSKY SUDOREMONTNY ZAVOD 19 Oct 1972 48165/72 Heading B7V A ship propeller comprises blades 1 each terminating in a root 3 which is seated in propeller hub 2. A chamber 5 symmetrically situated in the butt end of each root has its cross-sectional area nearer the base of the blade greater than that at the root butt end. Thrust block 6 has a cross-section equal to the larger cross-sectional area of the chamber and channel 7 in the root allows fluid under pressure into the chamber to secure the blade by its root in a seat in the hub by moving the thrust block into the narrower portion of the chamber.
