Abstract

1368064 Ladder staging M B MACK 3 Feb 1972 [4 Nov 1970] 52373/70 Heading E1S [Also in Division A6] Staging, which may be used as a children's climbing frame, comprises an elongate platform 10 supported at its ends on a step-ladder 1 and a tower framework 18 respectively, the platform being secured by fastening means, e.g. threaded bolts and nuts, engaging in aligned holes 9, 17, &c. in the side members of both the step portion and strut portion of the ladder and the tower and in longitudinal side supports of the platform, thereby locking the ladder open. A children's slide may be formed by removing the tower 18 and the fastenings at 17, tilting the platform about the fastenings at 9 until the free end rests on the floor, and inserting fastenings in holes 8 (Fig. 2, not shown). The step-ladder may have a conventional platform 4 near the top, pivoted to the step portion and engaging over a bar on the strut portion 2 and also over the end of the base of the platform 10.
