1367951 Liquefied gas storage tanks BRIDGESTONE LIQUEFIED GAS CO Ltd 18 Oct 1971 [19 Oct 1970] 48260/71 Heading F4P The space between the inner and outer walls 3, 1 of a cold liquefied gas storage tank is filled with a layer of heat insulation material 7, e.g. glass wool, and a humidity impervious layer 10 of metal or synthetic resin completely encloses the insulating layer 7. As shown layer 10 abuts insulation 7 and is spaced from outer wall 1 by a layer of polymer cement 11. A further layer 9 of plywood forms a secondary barrier. Condensed water which collects between the layer 10 and outer wall 1 can be pumped out.
