Abstract
1365960 Sorting coins BELL PUNCH CO Ltd 17 Nov 1972 [22 Nov 1971] 54095/71 Heading G4X A coin sorter comprises an inclined guideway 4, shoots 6a to 6h, defectors 5b to 5i for deflecting coins from the guideway into the shoots and coin feeding means including a rotatable disc 2 having coin carrying pins 11 resiliently urged to project from the surface of the disc. In the embodiment described (Figs. 2 and 3, not shown) the pins are bent, a spiked end protruding through a hole (13) in the disc and the other end being fixed by a screw (12) to the rear of the disc. The disc has agitating paddles (10) and is driven by an electric motor (7) via a slipping clutch (8). Detector 5a serves to deflect any oversize coins back to the hopper 3.
