Abstract
1342446 Coin dispenser NATIONAL CASH REGISTER CO 25 Aug 1972 [7 Sept 1971] 39692/72 Heading G4X In a coin dispenser coins from a hopper 21 fall into the interior of a rotatable drum 31 and pass through apertures 33 in the periphery of the drum to a circumferential slot formed between the drum and a flange 24 of a stationary disc 20. The coins are carried round the slot by pins 34, two of which are located adjacent the trailing edge of each aperture (Fig. 3,notshown), until they are picked off the drum by a portion 40 of coin shoot 37, the shoot holding the coins in a single row until they are released by withdrawing gate 42. The drum is driven via a slip clutch 30 by motor 28 and when the shoot 37 is full the last coin in the shoot engages a coin being carried by pins 34 and hence stops the drum.
