Abstract

1365637 Spray booths A RAMELLINI 29 June 1972 [29 Oct 1971 21 Feb 1972] 30415/72 Heading B2L Powder coating apparatus comprises a spray booth 1 having an, opening 2 through which powder may be sprayed by an air/electrostatic gun a pair of filters 7 at each end of the booth each filter having a duct 17 with suction fan 16 to draw air through the filter from the booth the ducts connecting together. In use when one suction fan is stopped, air from the other duct passes down the duct with the stopped fan to increase the pressure in the filter unit 7 and remove trapped particles therefrom. The particles pass through a hole 10 in the base of the booth to collectors 12 and from there pass via a pipe 13 back to the spray gun. Holes 8 are provided in the end walls of the booth for articles to pass through and a steam spray system 22-24 is provided.
