Abstract

1364730 Controlling transfer of packages between conveyers SIG SCHWEIZERISCHE INDUSTRIE-GESELLSCHAFT 1 Nov 1971 [2 Nov 1970] 50607/71 Heading B8A Packages 2 back up along a conveyer 1 from a pair of vertical edges of respective teeth of a pair of transfer wheels 5 until a predetermined number (as shown 14) of packages has accumulated. The trailing package is then in a position to operate a feeder 11 and activate a relay 10. This causes a clutch/brake 18 to be operated and the wheels 5 are rotated so that they progressively feed the packages to a conveyer 29, 30. When the latter has accumulated all fourteen packages, a wheel 38 has made a complete revolution, and operates a relay 39 for de-energizing the clutch/ brake 18. At the same time a pusher 34 displaces the packages on to a surface 35.
