Abstract
1363388 Fertilizer tablets containing (KPO3)n CHEMIE-LINZ AG 12 Dec 1972 [20 Dec 1971] 57363/72 Heading C1B A fertilizer tablet for fertilizing forest plants for the first growth periods after planting out comprises, as the sole potassium and phosphate component, polymeric potassium metaphosphate (KPO3)n, and as the sole nitrogen component, a condensation product of urea with a saturated or unsaturated aliphatic aldehyde containing no more than four carbon atoms and, optionally, one or more conditioning agents, wherein the weight ratio of N : P and N : K is 1 : 0À25 to 0À5, and 1 : 0À3 to 0À65, respectively. The conditioning agent may be talc (with/ without magnesium stearate and polyethylene glycol) or methylcellulose. The tablets are desirably of size 40 mm.<2> by 7 to 14 mm. thick.
