Abstract
1362709 Aerials F J TISCHER 9 Aug 1971 [24 Sept 1970] 37308/71 Heading H4A [Also in Division H1] An aerial comprises a surface-wave guide in which wave energy is guided between rows of metal posts 11, 12 extending through a sheet of dielectric material 10 which lies normal to the direction of polarization of the wave. The Fig. shows a two-element array in which the posts are gradually reduced in length in the direction of radiation (indicated by arrows). Additionally, the edge of the dielectric sheet 10 is bevelled.
