Abstract

1362019 Roof trusses DURAFRAME SYSTEMS PTY Ltd 29 Dec 1971 60333/71 Headings E1B and E1W A roof truss is formed of channel shaped top and bottom chords 19, 20, the top chords 19 being joined together at a particular angle by means of two sockets or connecting plates 21, 22 pivotally connected together. The junctions of the top and bottom chords are formed by similar sockets 33, 34, pivoted together about a pin 32. Apertures in a plate 36 align with apertures 37 in the socket 34 at certain predetermined angles and are fixed by bolts 35. The socket 33 may be provided with a similar oppositely directed socket 38 in which an eaves extension 39 may be secured. A king post 29 or transverse struts are secured between the upper and lower chords at pivotable connections.
