1361763 Collapsible gates BOLTON GATE CO Ltd 17 Nov 1972 [20 Jan 1972] 2704/72 Heading E1J In a collapsible gate, each picket comprises first and second channel members 22, 24 joined back-to-back and a third channel member 26 with its open side facing the open side of the second channel and connected thereto by pivots 40 of the lazy-tongs 12 of the gate, the panels 14 of the gate being pivoted to the first channel member 22. The sliding pivots of the lazy tongs comprise a pivot pin 40 received in the second and third channels. The pin 40 may have rollers 42 on each end. The fixed pivots, Figure 4 (not shown) comprise a pivot pin secured to the webs of the channels. Spacer members, Figure 5 (not shown) may also interconnect the channel members. A plate 60 is used to secure the gate to a door jamb.
