Abstract

1361370 Magnetic welding devices CEFILAC 9 Feb 1973 [10 Feb 1972] 6610/73 Heading H1P A magnetic load handling device comprises a, magnetic plate comprising ferrite magnets 1 juxtaposed with alternating polarities provided with an upper frame or plate 2 of mild steel and a lower ejector plate 3 of non-magnetic stainless steel carrying alternating transverse mild steel bands 4 collinearly disposed with the poles of the magnets and stainless steel separating bands. With the ejector plate in contact with the magnetic plate as shown, ferromagnetic loads 5 (e.g. cans of food are attracted for lifting, and with the ejector plate moved away from the magnetic plate (Fig. 2, not shown) they are released. The magnet bands may be disposed in the form of a grid.
