Abstract
1361071 Rotary positive - displacement pumps TOKYO KEIKI KK 9 Sept 1971 [12 Sept 1970] 42035/71 Heading F1F In an hydraulic sliding-vane type pump the rotor 6 has shaft 6' supported bearings 12', 13' that are integral with side plates 12, 13 and furnished with O-rings 22 to obviate leakage into bores 1 1 , 2 1 from inlet and outlet openings 17a-18b in the plate 12. Pressure is applied to the inner edges of the rotor vanes 8 by way of grooves 19. The side plates and a cam ring 7 are held against rotation by a pin 14. The pressure of the fluid leaking from said openings holds the side plates against the rotor and cam ring. A drive shaft 3 is coupled to the rotor by splines and supported by bearings 4, 5. The O-rings may be replaced by similar rings lodge in grooves formed in the housing 1 and a cover 2, Fig.6 (not shown). A seal 15 abuts the bearing 4. The specification also describes a known pump that saving absence of the O-rings is identical to that shown, Fig. 1 (not shown).
