Abstract

1360565 Pressurized dispensing containers ALUMINIUM SUISSE S A 15 June 1972 [22 June 1971] 27946/72 Heading F1R To relieve overpressure in a pressurized dispensing container, either the cap member 7 on which the valve 9 is mounted, or the can 1, is provided with a deformable part which moves, together with the valve 9, outwardly of the container, the movement of the valve 9 being limited so that the valve opens to release the container's contents. As shown, a trunco-conical part 5 moves from a lower stable state to an upper stable state 5' and the valve's push button 12 engages the edges 17, 18 of an opening 16 in a cover 13. In various modifications; the can has a plurality of horizontal folds (21) adjacent the cap member (24), the cap member 19 has annular undulations (20), the button (33) has a radial flange (34) at its base which engages a re-entrant groove in the cap member (38), the can has a dome (49) with a deformable concave portion (49a), and finally the dome of the can where joined to the cap member (41) has a deformable part (48).
