Abstract

135,978. Smits, F. J., and Wright, A. Dec. 18, 1918. Rotary tables; work-holders.-In apparatus for grinding and sharpening safety-razor blades &c. a number of blades are clipped transversely and tangentially on the periphery of a rotating drum d by which they are carried first under a grinding- disk and then under a buffing disk. The clips e are mounted in slots in the drum and terminate at their inner ends in spring plungers carrying rollers which run on a fixed cam f. The springs and the cam serve to move the clips in and out as the drum rotates to grip and release the blades.
