Abstract

1356465 Disposable sanitary knickers J A JOWITT and D E K D JOWITT 4 Oct 1971 [25 May 1971] 16893/71 Heading A3V [Also in Division A5] A pair of disposable sanitary knickers comprises an outer skin 1 of liquid-proof flexible sheet plastics material to which a crotch portion 2 of liquid-absorbent tissue paper is sewn with shirring elastic at 3, the waist-forming parts 5 of the skin 1 carrying snap-fitting complementary stud and socket fasteners 7 on tapes 8 for detachably connecting the front and back portions of the knickers at each side of a wearer. The skin 1 may be a single layer of flexible sheet plastics material or may comprise a plurality of layers. The fasteners 7 may be punched directly into the plastics material. Ventilation holes 6 are provided.
