Abstract

1355736 Moulded trays KEYES FIBRE CO 7 Aug 1972 36707/72 Heading B8P A fibrous pulp or thermoplastic tray having pockets 12 and posts 20 has ribs 34 in the lower half of each pocket to stiffen the pockets. The lower half of each pocket curves inwardly towards a base 18 the side walls lying at an angle 30 which is not greater than 55 degrees. This latter feature produces a shallow tray which is strengthened by the ribs 34. When made of a thermoplastics material the tray may be injection moulded or vacuum formed from an extruded or foamed sheet. Each pocket is substantially circular at its mid-depth 28. The base of each pocket and top of each front are substantially rectangular and coextensive in size. Depending upon the arrangement of the pockets in the tray, one tray is turned through 90 degrees or 180 degrees for stacking on a lower tray.
