Abstract
1355422 Heat pipes PHILIPS GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN NV 1 July 1971 [4 July 1970] 30871/71 Heading F4U A heat pipe has internal means to support the pipe walls atainst external pressure forces, the means being constructed to permit flow of the evaporated heat transfer medium. The means may comprise a compressed porous mass of wire or ribbon shaped material having a specific pore size which differs from the capillary structure, or be formed of compressed steel wool, apertured metal plates, a lattice construction of rods, or a metal gauze folded in zig-zag form.
