Abstract
1354041 Valves R A O RAMAZANOV T K VELIEV K M O KULIEV 8 Jan 1972 960/72 Heading F2V In a gate valve each seat 12 is formed with a lubricant reservoir 19, a projection 15 fitting into a body recess 14, an annular lubricant receiving recess 16 and a channel 17 connected to the reservoir. The recess 16 and the outlet of channel 17 are disposed within a circle whose diameter does not exceed the diameter of the projection 15. When the gate 5 is closed pocket 18 communicates the channel 17 with the recess 16. The gate is formed of two parts 5a, 5b each of which has a closed cylindrical space 21 whose diameter d 1 equals the outer diameter d of the recess 16. In a modification each seat has a cylindrical slot (23) whose diameter equals the diameter d. The gate 5 having a flow aperture 5c is moved by a reciprocating nut 6 and a rotary screw spindle 7.
