Abstract
1353669 Gas blast switches; switchgear structures MAGRINI FABBRICHE RIUNITE MAGRINI-SCARPA e MAGNANO MSM SpA 19 April 1971 [7 April 1970] 26671/71 Heading H1N A high voltage circuit breaker comprises two puffer type gas blast switches 4, in series, mounted in a single metal enclosure 1 filled with insulating and arc extinguishing gas which is able to circulate freely throughout the interior of the enclosure. The gas may be SF 6 and may be at less than atmospheric pressure. Operating linkages 10 and voltage grading capacitors 15 are within the gas filled enclosure for insulation and the gas may also circulate to other switchgear by way of apertures 13 in terminal shrouds 6. Diaphragms may be provided to seal the apertures when the circuit breaker is unplugged.
