Abstract

1353153 Axminster grippers BRINTONS Ltd 26 May 1971 [26 May 1970] 25118/70 Heading D1E The movable jaw 5 of an Axminster gripper has an apertured lug 8 which fits into a recess 4 in the fixed jaw 1, the aperture 14 having a bevelled edge 16 so that the fixed jaw may be peened outwardly into the bevel to provide the pivot and hold the jaws together. The peening may be ground flat.
