Abstract
1352559 Vesicular materials XIDEX CORP 7 July 1971 [10 July 1970] 31989/71 Heading G2C A vesicular material comprises a support coated with a layer containing a polymeric binder in which is dispersed a light-decomposable compound and a silicone surfactant. The lightdecomposable compound is preferably a diazonium compound and the binder is preferably a polyhydroxyether of an epihalohydrin and a dihydric phenol as disclosed in Specification 1330344. The silicone is preferably of formula A-B-Z where A is a polysiloxane group, B is a hydroxy-substituted alkylene or oxyalkylene group and Z is a dialkylamino or quaternary ammonium group or an amine salt. The material is compared with other materials containing saponin, sodium lauryl sulphate and disodium ethoxylated nonyl phenol half ester of sulpho-succinic acid as surfactants and produces images of greater resolution.
