Abstract

1352352 Drawing tables SPACIO SYSTEM A B 27 April 1971 [27 April 1970] 11604/71 Heading A4H A vertically adjustable drawing board 1 is supported by a parallel motion linkage which includes opposite first and second levers 3, 4 and includes a device for locking the linkage at the adjusted height of the board 1, the device including a guide member 10 carried by one of the levers 3, a link 8 pivoted, as at 7, to the other lever 4 and slidably engaged with the guide member 10, and locking means carried by the guide member 10 which is selectively operated to prevent displacement of the link relative to the guide member thereby to maintain the mutual spacing of the levers 3, 4 and hold the board at its adjusted height. As shown, the locking device comprises a bolt 15 engaged through slots 13 in a pair of members 11, 12 forming the link 8 and a nut 17 engaged on the threaded end of the bolt 15 so that tightening of the nut 17 by an operating handle 18 effects a clamping of the lever 3 between the link members 11, 12. In an alternative embodiment the link comprises a bar which is displaceable in a diametric bore through a rotatable pin, the bar being lockable by a grub screw threaded into a radial bore in the pin. Angular adjustment of the board is permitted by a two part bracket 2, 2' which is lockable in the adjusted position by a clamp screw and slot.
