Abstract
1351976 Reactive dyes CIBA-GEIGY AG 24 Nov 1971 54680/71 Heading C4P The invention comprises dyestuffs which contain a reactive aziridine radical of the formula wherein R, R 2 , R 3 and R 4 each independently represents H or a C 1 -C 5 alkyl radical which may be substituted and R 1 represents H or an optionally substituted alkyl radical. Suitable dyes are those of the azo, anthraquinone, phthalocyanine and nitroaryl series. The dyes of Formula I may be obtained by reacting a dyestuff containing a radical of the formula or of formula in which X represents a halogen atom and one Y is a halogen atom and the other is H or a halogen atom, with a primary amine of the formula H 2 N-R 1 . The dyes give yellow, organge, blue, green and red shades on cellulose or nitrogen-containing fibres.
