Abstract

1350064 Semi trailers S J W HOLT 27 May 1971 [7 April 1970] 16344/70 Heading B7B In a semi trailer for carrying containers having a plurality of cross members 8, front and rear cross beams 2, 4 are connected by two longitudinal members 6 lying parallel within the rear wheel track and then diverging forwardly, with their front portions, adapted to overlie a tractor, being of reduced depth as compared with the remainder thereof, and further longitudinal members 18 are provided which converge forwardly and support a king-pin baseplate 20. Front and rear cross beams 2, 4 carry container locks 12 which may also be provided on a laterally extended cross member 8, Fig. 4 (not shown). In a modification Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown) a platform is supported on the cross members and longitudinal members.
