Abstract

1349916 Tricyclohexyltin compounds STAUFFER CHEMICAL CO 21 April 1972 [10 Dec 1971] 18529/72 Heading C2J Compounds of general formula where R 1 and R 2 are C 1 -C 6 alkoxy or alkyl, or cyclo-alkoxy, are prepared by reacting a tricyclohexyltin halide with an appropriate alkali metal dithiophosphorus compound in a neutral solvent such as acetone. In exemplified compounds, both R 1 and R 2 are ethoxy, n-propoxy, iso-propoxy, iso-butoxy or cyclohexyloxy, or R 1 is ethyl and R 2 is ethoxy or iso-propoxy. The compounds have pesticidal properties and compositions containing them may be used in the form of emulsions, suspensions, solutions (in e.g. sesame oil), dusts and aerosol sprays (with CCl 2 F 2 as propellant).
