Abstract

1348970 Master cylinder reservoirs, level indicating devices DEUTSCHE BENDIX AUSRUSTUNGS GmbH 13 Dec 1972 [17 Dec 1971] 57513/72 Headings F2E and F2F In a two chamber reservoir for a split circuit hydraulic braking system, the two chambers 4, 5 are separated by a dividing wall 6, above which, in an inlet 7 is situated a sieve 11 through which the wall is continued, to form a partition 12, which wall and partition prevent fluid transfer from one chamber to the other. As shown, the sieve 11 is located in a circular groove 15 in the inlet by means of three lugs 13. A curved projection 17 formed on the underside of sieve 11 contains a groove 18 which bears on an inverted V-shaped surface 19 on the wall 6. Level indicators 8, 9 are provided in each chamber. The reservoir casing 1 is formed of two dished plastics members which may be injection moulded thermoplastics members.
