Abstract
1348140 Detergents containing overglaze attack inhibitors COLGATE-PALMOLIVE CO 19 May 1971 [28 May 1970] 11995/73 Divided out of 1348139 Heading C5D A water-soluble alkaline detergent composition comprises 0À5 to 5% by wt. of a bleaching agent (A) capable of liberating hypohalite on contact with aqueous media and aluminium silicate as an overglaze inhibitor in quantities of at least 0À5% and up to 3% by wt. of the composition. The composition contains 50 to 95% by wt. of at least one builder salt which may be (B) inorganic, e.g. alkali metal phosphates, silicates, carbonates or sulphates or (C) organic, e.g. salts of aminopolycarboxylic acids, e.g. nitrilotriacetic acid and ethylene diamine triacetic acid. The bleaching agent (A) may be inorganic, e.g. lithium hypochlorite and hypobromite or organic, e.g. N-chlorinated, N-brominated heterocyolic imides, e.g. N- monobromo - N,N - dichloro - cyanuric acid, trichlorocyanuric acid and salts thereof. 0À5 to 5% wt. of an anionic, cationic or ampholytic detergent may be present.
