Abstract

1347346 Master batches REAGENS SpAINDUSTRIA CHIMICA 6 July 1971 [6 July 1970] 31750/71 Heading C3P Additives which are to be incorporated into a thermoplastic resin are mixed in powder form with the thermoplastic resin in granular form while heating until the additive is absorbed but without coalescing of the resin particles to obtain free flowing granular master batches the ratio of additive to resin being 1 : 5 to 5 : 1. Examples describe forming mixes of PVC with stabilizers, (1) dibasic lead phosphite and (2) dibasic lead phosphite, dibasic lead stearate and calcium stearate. Other additives may also be introduced.
