Abstract

1345776 Clocks and watches BAUMGARTNER FRERES S A 19 April 1971 [23 Feb 1970] 22325/71 Heading G3T A timepiece comprising a nuclear power source battery has at least part of its mechanism e.g. wheels 8, 9, 14, located between a coverplate 2 of the battery and a plate 5 which mechanically protects the battery. A watch case band 6 snap-fits with a back 7 which together with cover 2 provides an evacuated casing which is sealed by a glass or crystal bead 4, and in which active elements 3 of the battery are accommodated. Pillars 12 are anchored in the back 7 and extend through the plate 5 and a plate 10 of the mechanism to support a bridge 13. The plates 5, 10 are mounted on shoulders on the wall of the back 7. The bead 4 extends through an aperture 11 in plate 10, and a shaft 15 extends through an aperture 16 in the plate 5 to transmit the drive to that part e.g. wheels 17, 18 of the mechanism not located between the protection plate 5 and the cover 2. Auxiliary bridges 19, 20 are provided for pivoting some of the wheels.
