Abstract

1345476 Guiding containers during loading CONRAD-STORK BV 20 Jan 1972 [29 Jan 1971] 2767/72 Heading B8Q A device for guiding a container on to a vehicle 6 when the container is being lowered by ropes, comprises an arm 2 pivoted at 3 to a beam 1 forming part of the lowering device and a ram 4 which pivots the arm towards the vehicle. When a control device 5 abuts the vehicle the supply of fluid to the ram is cut off and a low-resistance by-pass path is substituted by a solenoid operated slide-valve so that the rain acts as a buffer. If the device 5 moves out of contact with the vehicle the ram once more pivots the arm until contact is re-established.
