Abstract

1344205 Unloading material from storage FIVES LILLE-CAIL 2 May 1972 [4 May 1971] 20440/72 Heading B8E Material from a circular bin 10, 12 or yard is discharged by a tube 16 provided with a thread 42 to feed the material to a hopper 27 and discharge conveyer 29. The tube 16 is mounted on the lower part 19 of a mast rotatable about its axis by a motor 53 and is pivotable about a horizontal axis 22, Fig. 3a, on which is mounted a motor 18 to rotate the tube. Cables 58 are secured to a ring 55 supporting the tube 16 by rolling contact bearings and pass to a winch 59 so that the inclination of the tube can be varied. In a modified example the tube 16 has external scoops which feed material through holes to an internal thread. To fill the bin or pile the material a supply conveyer 36 feeds a throwing device 32 through a shoot 34. The upper part of the mast 30, the throwing device 32 and shoot 34 are rotated by a motor 38.
