Abstract
1374550 Unloading apparatus SCASIAINVENTOR AB 19 Feb 1973 [24 Feb 1972] 8092/73 Heading B8E Apparatus for unloading a ships hold, silo or dump comprises two parallel vertical screw conveyers 1 a swingable horizontal conveyer 2 and a further longitudinally displaceable conveyer 3 all enclosed and dust sealed. The conveyer 2 may be of belt, scraper or screw type and the apparatus discharges to a conveyer 18 at a discharge station 16. The conveyers I can be swung about a pivotal connection 8 with the conveyer 2 by rams 9 and the apparatus is supported by a jib crane, Fig. 1 or hydraulic driving means while the conveyer 2 can pivot in a horizontal plane about a connection 13 with the conveyer 3 in turn supported by fastenings 15 on the crane. The connections allow movement from an inoperative position A to limit operative positions B-D, Fig. 1. As an alternative, Fig. 7, the conveyers can be supported for vertical movement by trestles 24 and can be swung like a pendulum by movement of a ring 22 by cross wires 21 operated by winches 25. The conveyers 1 have feed devices 4 to move material to them which may comprise rotary tearing means 17 in the form of pine 19. The conveyers 1 are rotated by an electric or hydraulic motor 6.
