Abstract
1344267 Stands S W KNOWLES 9 June 1971 [10 Sept 1970] 43319/70 Heading A4H An animal feeding or drinking dish is supported above a floor by a stand comprising a base 1, a holder 9 for supporting the dish 13, and a stem 4 connected at its ends to the base and to the holder. The base 1 is solid cast iron or is hollow and sand-filled, and the metal stem 4 comprises at least two telescopic tubular members 5, 6 for height adjustment, member 6 having a threaded spigot for engaging a threaded socket 3 of the base. The holder 9 is releasably secured to the stem by a screw 8, which may be received in a well in a circular plate 10 of the holder. The holder also includes a circular rim 12 connected to plate 10 by three curved arms 11, parts 11, 12 being formed of metal wire or strip. The base may have screw apertures for securing to the floor. In a further form Fig.2 (not shown) the stand comprises two or three stems (26) mounted on individual bases (31), and connected by a beam which may be releasable, the beam releasably supporting six or more holders (23).
