Abstract
1341631 Liquid developing FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 19 April 1971 [16 March 1970] 24210/71 Heading G2H An electrostatic latent image bearing member 10 is developed under the influence of an electrode 61-69 by toner particles in an insulating liquid 71; the electrode having spaces 72-79 arranged so that the ratio of electrode area to space increases in the direction of travel of member 10. It is stated that by thus increasing the effect of the electrode during development, background, halo, edge effect and streaking are reduced. The segments 61-69 of the electrode may be earthed or held at the same or different potentials. In other embodiments (Figs. 13, 14, 17-19; not shown) wire, and apertured-plate electrodes are used.
