J JORGENSEN 18 Jan 1971 [9 Feb 1970 4 June 1970 14 Sept 1970] 6109/70 27032/70 and 43830/70 Heading B8C, A shirt or similar article of clothing is folded over a plate member 2 with at least one edge 6 of the folded over portion being clamped beneath a tongue 10 formed by cut-out lines 12, one line starting adjacent edge 6 and the tongue being pressed back into or beyond the plane of the plate member. There may be one tongue as shown with both folded over shirt portions clamped beneath it. The tail of the shirt is folded over the bottom of the member 2 and over either the bottom edge 16 of the tongue when the bottom portion of the tongue has been folded upwardly about line 18 or over the edges 26 of the wings of the bottom portion. Alternatively the tail may be attached by clips to the edges 26. In other embodiments there are small tongues on side flaps of the plate member which are folded over on to the back of the member after the tongues have secured the shirt edges. The side flaps may have serrated edges to grip the shirt while at the top of the main portion of the plate member there may be a flap, separated or integral with the main portion, which is folded down after the flaps have been folded in.
