Abstract

1340491 Mines &c GULLICK DOBSON Ltd 19 April 1971 [14 Feb 1970] 7195/70 Heading E1F Goaf packs P at the sides of a mine roadway R leading to a working face F are compacted by hydraulic pushers 18 mounted at the rear of the hydraulic mine roof supports 10, 10<SP>1</SP>..10<SP>7</SP> anchored to a conveyor C. Debris from the roadhead is deflected by an inclined plate 26 onto a conveyor 21 delivering to the pushers which are pivoted at 19 and moved by single or double rams. In a modification the plate 26 and conveyor 21 are replaced by a chain driven scraper plate reciprocated over a table to carry debris to either side of the roadway.
