Abstract

1,239,663. Dyeing synthetic fibre/cellulose fibre blends. FARBWERKE HOECHST A.G. 2 April, 1969 [2 April, 1968], No. 17191/69. Heading D1B. Blends of synthetic fibres and cellulosic fibres are simultaneously dyed in a single bath with a dispersion and a reactive dye in alkaline medium by the thermosol process using as disperse dye a dye of formula I in which R 1 is an alkyl group, R 2 is hydrogen or an optionally substituted phenyl radical, preferably substituted by halogen, alkyl, alkoxy or dialkylamino group. Preferred blends are cellulose/polyester and cellulose/polyamide which are padded, dried and then heated at 185-230‹C for preferably 30-60 secs.
