Abstract

1,237,485. Valves. LUCIFER S.A. 7 Oct., 1969. [31 Oct., 1968], No. 49229/69. Heading F2V. A fluid flow is regulated by a first closure member 6 slidable axially between a closed and an open position, and a second closure member 16 adapted to be shifted axially with respect to a port 9 by a control member 11. The member 6 is of plastics material and is held against a seat 7 by a weak spring 20 until it is lifted by fluid pressure at the inlet 3. Reverse flow from a port 4 is regulated by adjusting the member 16. At the position corresponding to maximum flow through the port 9, shoulders 18, 19 engage to cause the member 6 to be moved away from its seat and provide a more rapid increase in the rate of flow for each increment of adjustment.
