Abstract
1,236,058. Reciprocating pumps. CESKOSLOVENSKA AKADEMIE VED. Oct. 10, 1968 [Jan.30, 1968], No.48114/68. Heading F1A In a pump having a main pumping cylinder 1 and a compensating cylinder 25, the compensating cylinder acts to remove irregularities of flow in the delivery tube 37. Piston 2, in cylinder 1, and piston 26, in cylinder 25, are reciprocated by cams 10 and 30 respectively which are so shaped that the pistons are in opposite phases and the delivery flow in tube 37 is constant. A cam 12 carried by the shaft 11 on which cam 10 is situated actuates a valve 3 via levers 15, 18 and 20. In another embodiment both cylinders may be formed in the same block. The stroke of each of the pistons may be varied by means of a cam actuated level mechanism Fig. 3 (not shown), a cam actuated beam, whose pivotal point may be adjusted, or by means of conical cams whose longitudinal position on a common shaft may be varied.
