Abstract

1,235,697. Space heating radiators. VEBA CHEMIE A.G. 29 May, 1968 [30 May, 1967], No. 25802/68. Heading F4S. A plate or multielement type radiator comprises radiator elements formed from polypropylene or polybutene by the deep drawing, injection moulding, blow moulding or rotational moulding methods. As shown each element comprises a plurality of tubular passages 1 extending between fluid collection and distribution headers 3. Heating fluid is supplied to and withdrawn from these headers by way of connections 2. The radiator element is formed by welding together two plates each having longitudinally extending semicircular cross-sectional channels. In an alternative embodiment (Figs. 4 and 5, not shown) fluid enters and leaves the radiator element through openings in one end of the collection and distribution headers.
