Abstract

1,230,512. Machine tool details. BUHR MACHINE TOOL CORP. 17 Sept., 1969, No. 45923/69. Heading B3B. A reciprocating bar 10 for moving work pallets P between machine tools, comprises lengths of overlapped and interlocked portions 15-20, carrying pallet engaging dogs 14, the bar being moved along rods 60, and rollers 62, by an hydraulic piston 53. After engaging and moving a pallet to the machine tool, bar 10 is either moved transversely, or pivoted about its own axis, so as to disengage the dog 14 from the pallet, and then retracted. The ends of the bar portions are connected by screws 34, and located by projections and recesses 46, 39, and 38, 47, and two keys and keyways 50, 48. The bar may be of circular or rectangular cross-section.
