Abstract

1,230,059. Hospital bed. DOMINION METALWARE INDUSTRIES Ltd. 12 March, 1970 [13 March, 1969], No. 11827/70. Heading A4J. The head supporting section 56 of the bed is hinged to the seat support 58, the latter being carried on a sub-frame mounted on rollers 54 that run on a frame 23. Linkages 81, 70 allow the head section to be adjusted by an electric motor 38 whilst keeping the head end 57 in the same vertical plane. A leg section 60 is pivoted to the seat section 58 and also operated by an electric motor, whilst the foot action 62 is manually adjustable. Frame 23 is vertically adjusted by a parallel linkage between it and a floor engaging frame.
