Abstract

1,229,327. Drilling. SOC. FRANCAISE DE CONSTRUCTION DE BENNES AUTOMATIQUES BENOTO. 28 May, 1968 [29 May, 1967], No. 25485/68. Heading E1F. Apparatus for sinking and extracting a drilling tube comprises means 20 for clamping the drilling tube, the means being oscillatable about its own axis, and being movable vertically, as by jacks 16, on portion 7 of frame 1. The clamping means comprises a ring composed of a plurality of elements connected by removable pins, and is oscillated by a hydraulic cylinder assembly 28 having a stationary piston rod extending between a pair of arms 5 of the frame, and a reciprocating cylinder body connected to jib 24 of the ring by means of a member 26 having a finger 25 sliding in the jib. Frame portion 7 is pivoted at 6 to the rest of the frame and is supported at different inclinations by plugs 13' in sockets 13. Further clamping members 21 are provided.
