Abstract

1,225,678. Conveyer systems. S.I. HANDLING SYSTEMS Inc. 9 April, 1968 [20 April, 1967], No. 17082/68. Heading B7L. A tow truck conveyer system comprises a floor or ceiling 12, Fig. 1, having a main slot through which a truck two pin (not shown) extends to contact a driving conveyer chain 32, the slot having straight sections 14, 16 joined by a curved section 15, a back-up wall 40 of substantially identical curvature as the curved section 18 located radially inwardly of and adjacent the curved section 18 and a roller chain 52 positioned between the wall 40 and the conveyer chain 32 with the rollers 58, Fig. 2, of the chain 52 in rolling contact both with the wall 40 and adjacent side faces 60 of links of the driving chain 32, the rollers 58 being rotatable about vertical axes. The chain 52 is endless and the rollers 58 also contact a second curved wall 42. The wall 40 has one curved end 48 and the wall 42 has curved ends 61, 62. The roller chain runs around adjustable end wheels 44, 64.
