Abstract

1,224,852. Toy. AARIKKA-KORU. 12 March, 1969 [23 Jan., 1969], No. 12910/69. Heading A6S. A toy comprises a plurality of bodies 3 connected by a rubber band 4 passing through the bodies and anchored in the endmost bodies 1 and 2 by means of knots which fit into recesses 5. Prior to fixing the rubber band to the end bodies, it is stretched so that the bodies are urged against one another. Consequently this friction between the abutting contact surfaces of adjacent bodies will ensure that the bodies will remain in any relatively twisted positions into which they are placed. An arbitary configuration is illustrated in the Figure. The bodies as illustrated are mutualy congruent oblique based cylinders, the bases being inclined at equal angles to the axis of the toy, but other shaped bodies, e.g. spherical segments or stars may also be used.
