Abstract
1,223,728. Audio transducers. KRONE K.G. 16 July, 1968 [26 July, 1967], No. 33794/68. Heading H4J. The ends of the coil 12 of a moving coil earphone or microphone are soldered respectively to an eyelet 15a, 15b, which is secured between the inside of the housing 1 and the support ring 3 for the magnet system 7-9 and the diaphragm 5, and to an eyelet 4a bent up from a contact plate 4 carried by the back of the housing but insulated from it by plate 20. To electrically connect external leads to these eyelets 15, 4a a screw thread (22), Fig. 3 (not shown), is provided in the support ring 3 to receive a first connecting screw (21) and a threaded bush (23) is formed in the contact plate 4 to receive a second screw (24). The transducer has a dampling strip 19 clamped between a flanged part 4b of the contact plate 4 and the support ring 3, which is in this region provided with perforations 16 to provide communication between the chamber 17 below the diaphragm and the chamber 18 in the lower part of the housing.
