Abstract
1,223,124. Aerials. RELIANCE (SHEFFIELD) Ltd. 23 Aug., 1968 [25 Aug., 1967], No. 39155/67. Heading H4A. An aerial assembly particularly suitable for small boats comprises a linear aerial and an omni-directional corner reflector, the two being either electrically connected together, or insulated from each other. As described, a rod aerial 12, Fig. 2, is mounted on top of a reflector body 10 formed by three orthogonally disposed metal sheets 34, 36, 38 whose edges define an elongated octahedron. The aerial and reflector may be mounted on an insulator 20, Fig. 1, and be connected by means of a bolt and a rod 24 to the inner conductor of a coaxial cable 26. A tube 22 is screwed into the underside of the insulator 20 and is supported by brackets extending from the top of the mast of a boat.
