Abstract

1,220,405. Plastics sacks. BRITISH VISQUEEN Ltd. 2 July, 1969 [22 July, 1968], No. 34866/68. Heading B8K. In order to allow the contents to breathe yet remain impervious to water, a plastics sack comprises a liner of micro-perforated plastics film, e.g. lay-flat polythene tubing and an outer wall woven from plastics tape, e.g. longitudinally oriented polypropylene, high density polythene, or nylon. The holes, about 0À012 inch diameter, may be produced by passing the liner film through a nip formed between a rotating, resilient feeding member and a rotating punching roller equipped with projecting pins.
