Abstract
1,219,610. Hydrodenitrification catalysts. SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ N.V. 9 Dec., 1968 [11 Dec., 1967], No. 58287/68. Heading B1E. [Also in Division C5] Hydrodeniterification catalysts are made by incorporating into a hydrogel of a refractory oxide support an aqueous solution containing one or more soluble compounds of metals in Group IB, VIB and VIII of the Periodic Table under hydrothermal conditions at a temperature of at least 50‹C and at a pressure sufficient to prevent substantial evaporation of the solution. Specified supports are Al 2 O 3 , SiO 2 , SiO 2 -Al 2 O 3 , SiO 2 -MgO, SiO 2 -Al 2 O 3 -ZrO 2 , SiO 2 - Al 2 O 3 -B 2 O 3 . Specified metals are Cu, Ag, Au, Cr, Mo, W, Fe, Co and Ni. If desired the catalysts may be promoted with F. The metal may be present as element, or sulphide, or oxide.
